Yes. And quite frankly, everyone else makes an excellent 70-200 (Canon/Nikon/Sony), so there's plenty of room for failure here. Sigma and Tamron offerings aren't quite up to the same standard, but they cost
so much less (50-75% less -
yes, Tamron's A-mount 70-200/2.8 is actually only 1/4 the price of Sony's offering!).
Ricoh's recent history is to price their premium lenses high, fully in line with the (also overpriced, though generally excellent) competition. So they'd better be excellent too!
