Any chance to see interesting photos of people? Maiby street candid? Too much birds IMHO.
Do the candid photography at a beach to reduce the chance of getting arrested for suspicion of being a perv with a huge lens :P

ROTFL

Clearly this (street, candid) isn't what one do most of the time with such a lens but I agree, birds and squirrels are cool but something else from time to time would be cool too

Mine is under repair; the shop advised me not to expect it back for one to two months at least.
And mine disappeared into the repair shop and hasn't re-appeared yet either.

Sigh.

+1... There all say birding is challenging etc but we only get birds and squirels :P

I'am sure bears, whales, candids/streets, distant landscape, sports (ski, water polo...) this would change a bit ! It is a bit like the bokeh club, they have 90% of flowers shoots where even a compact might give some bokeh !

I just received the call that mine's ready for pick-up at the shop. Three weeks (of four), that's not too bad!

Sound good. Did they say what they fixed?

Still have to go to the shop, but at least they informed me it was covered by warranty.

With a bit of luck, mine will not to be far away then.

Fingers crossed. FWIW, mine works like a charm again. The shop guy said they don't get a full report of warranty fixes, but at any rate "the lens cursor has been realigned", whatever that means.

Why would you want your lens to be in the vicinity of Amsterdam?

(Hope you get it soon)

Just spoke to the Pentax Australia repair shop. Unfortunately, they don't yet have the tools to repair the 150-450 so it has been sent to Japan. Apparently will take 3 weeks more to get it back.

Lots of sighs.

I have finally received the 150 450mm, has pleasantly surprised me, focus speed, sharpness, the bokeh, robust and solid, upload samples. The second with 14x rearconverter.
