I look at that lens and think "that lens will work on my camera"...and realize what that means... we have been truly deprived.

Knowing it's there means that I can do all manner of things I might want to do, (should I ever decide to do them ) with the swipe of a credit card.

Squirrels hate peppermint oil.....I use it on the wiring of my cars to prevent them from eating the wiring harness. Works anywhere. Buy the concentrated little bottles in the grocery store.

A lazy squirrel will just go someplace else if there is the scent of peppermint around.

Regards!

I'm still debating this lens.....instead of a new Bigma 150-500 HSM OS. I want it, but not sure I can justify the purchase when I mostly just shoot squirrels and a few birdies....and I'm not all that good at either. Of course, I have nice cameras so maybe being good doesn't really matter if you want something?

I'd say its much better marketing than the first sets of photos they released a few months ago.

This new lens is simply too rich for me. It looks like maybe I'll pick up the WR version of the DA 55-300 the next time I see it on sale. I can gift my original 55-300 to my niece.

The video was useful.

I wasn't really thinking of the 150-450 as an action event telephoto. But the 150-450 seemed to do the job respectably.

That video was also reasonably realistic. (I've posted here with bikes andcars).

And I bought it primarily for motor sports and airshows, as well as birds in flight.

Does the K-3 really sound like sniper rifle as in the video? That must scare people in public. :cP

I think it is just showing where the 400mm actually is.

It's clear from the burst-mode shutter sounds during the slow-mo video segments that the shutter sounds were added later. Not having a K3, who knows if they're really from the K3.

Really... who is this we of which you speak?

I have a K-3 so, I'm pretty sure the sounds weren't added after, but I guess they could have been, as I said in another thread.... the Canon and Nikon guys I often end up shooting with for an afternoon, usually don't ask about my camera, until they hear the burst speed. But apparently I'm one of those guys who doesn't believe anything until he see it in a video, when Franc has been saying it all along. You know Franc, that champion of Pentax? Actually I don't have a clue who Franc is, but hey.... he's been saying something all along, apparently, at least he says he has.

Who should be giving who the break here Franc?
