Hm, I'm not sure about the "pro" market. You see, the pro market is not just about FF camera and big f2.8 zoom lenses. The Pro market is mostly about a system and support. For example, lights, strobes and flash, triggers and remotes, high quality tethering, lens rentals, quick warranty repairs, lending a lens for the duration of the repair, integration with third party software, and so on. I don't think Pentax has these capacities yet. Look at Nikon, they have stores in so many cities, you can rent their lenses in almost every country, they have their own rental booths at major events, they organize workshops and photo events, etc. Simply having a couple high quality tele lenses and a full frame is not enough to be "pro" in the sense of the word. That being said, we know that there already are pros that use Pentax gear. Of course you can go pro with the past lineup, and the new camera and lenses will help. I'm just pointing out that this is not what the mainstream pro photographers require.

Though some pros maybe swayed into Pentax, I agree that majority of the first purchasers of this camera will be serious enthusiasts willing to spend money for their hobby. A lot of guys here are hobbyists with plenty of FF compatible lenses and have waited a long time for this camera. When this camera comes out, I'm sure it will be successful.

Could someone please enlighten me as to what the MTF charts are telling us? Do they look good, or not?
They tell us that some people are more into measurbation than taking pictures.

Those comparisons are at the very best educated guesses. What is your reference point? What on the photo has a size of a part we know the size of? The lens... We don't know what lens is mounted, and it depends on the focal length. Maybe the dials can tell us something, maybe they are of a different size.
(...).
The lens shown with the 24x36 mock-up is a 31mm f/1.8.

Here is a comparison made by Ariis on PentaxOne, based on the size of some standard elements.

And, as a consequence, a comparison with K-3

Nicely done Mistral. That would be a mighty feat to squeeze in a FF into a marginally bigger body to the K-3.

Indeed! Have the specs for that good looking mighty OVF leaked yet? I know it's 100%, but I'm curious about the magnification!

Carrying my K-5 with a (smaller than 70-200mm) lens with one hand and a wriststrap for three days gave me once the tennis elbow for a year.

+1. One of the best comparisons I've seen.

But unless I am seeing things wrong, all of the comparisons so far miss the fact that the full-frame is shot from a low angle (hence we can see some of the underside of the lens mount, and the mode dial up top is angled backwards), whereas most of the K-3 body shots are shot dead level and directly perpendicular to the camera. This difference in perspective may have an impact on people's perceptions of the camera's relative size compared to devices like the K-3.

That pentaprism housing on the new FF has a dominating look about it in that picture.

Based on the above I would guess it - body only - would probably weigh in between 900 and 930 grams. But maybe in its second version that can come down - 860 - 870 grams?

I was curious, assuming this has no pop-up flash, the pentaprism will be on par with the 1D

Perhaps, but it did say " EMBEDDED FLASH : No EXTERNAL FLASH". I would guess that means there is a built in flash, but no flash shoe for an external flash. But it could just as well be the other way around.
I think you left out something.

Zapatos means " shoes ", so I'm guessing it's related to a hot shoe mount.

Zapada means snow in Romanian. In Spanish? Dunno.
