This from digitalcamerainfo.com, Interesting use of the programmable buttons on the 150-450mm zoom.

That's pretty cool. I bet I'd use that.

How many DA15's could fit in one of these?

Aspiring full framers have time to save up and to build up the muscles hahaha...

Different shooting style. This lens would work very well on an apsc body. I suspect we will see support for this functionality for the K-3.

Om the contrary my dear colleague; your remark predicts a painfully true scenario to future full framers

So painful it becomes hilarious!!!!

NO PAIN - NO GAIN

I was talking about that button feature specifically. I might use the lens too, but I'll probably have to start going to the gym first!

I'm thinking of getting a BlackRapid Sport esp for this lens... That should help carry the weight, shouldn't it?

Thank you for the pictures

It seems the lens is very sharp @360mm f7.1 and slightly less so @450....still pretty impressive color and detail on an overcast shooting day

note: you need to log in to Facebook for the direct link to work...

Two picture at 450mm shot wide open from the series (credit to Wolfgang Baus)

That is comparing apples and oranges . . . an ultra wide angle to a long tele-zoom. You would find that the FA20/2.8, F28/2.8, FA28/2.8 aren't very large lenses. Nor is the FA50/1.4 or FA35/2. On the other hand, the DA* 60-250/4 weighs in over 2 pounds.

I would imagine so. People use them with very big Canikon setups.

I was only comparing the size nothing else.. It's a contrast... I was just being silly, and obviously way too silly for anybody not in my own head. I was just thinking about Matt on his treks and all his awesome DA15 images, so it got me thinking about just the size of these things in comparison, not their actual capabilities... I still find it difficult to believe that anybody could think that I was actually trying to compare them technically but I am trying..
