Well, I don't think the Pentaxeros sketch is accurate - the body appears a bit bigger/taller than the K-3. We'll see; many things could change in 7 months (assuming a September launch).

I suggest that we all scoot over to the DPReview announcement and leave some enthusiastic comments.
  1. There is some negativity going on that deserves to be countered with some enthusiasm.
  2. DPReview is known to be "slow" (this can be read in many ways) regarding Pentax, so it would be good for them to realise that Pentax is still relevant and can be good for their site traffic too. Perhaps, if we do our bit, we get to see the DPReview before 2020...

I so want that 150-450, but that price, ugh... $500 more than my maximum budget in 1 month when it presumably ships.

And here I was hoping to get it in time for the April 4th lunar eclipse.

I just sold my Sigma 70-200. I can feel the vacuum left by it sucking in a replacement already.

Class A: Yeah, lots of insecure people feeling "their" system is threatened by Pentax... because choice is bad!

Just received an email from Ricoh official website, containing this:
(we now all know about those lenses but I thought that this official Ricoh's mail was nice to receive.)
If this exact page was posted here before (likely), please Mod's delete at will.

Willing to do it.... BUT ! Do I have to register to that site if I want to post something?

Edit ... just posted there a few minutes ago.
That DPReview site is so full of already negative "individuals" (trying to be nice here) on all things Ricoh/Pentax .... sad site.

I got the email too. I'll wait for some user photos from that 150-450 before I decide if I want it.

I hope their description of the new product means that older FA lenses will work. I've been hoarding a few for this occasion

That's how I feel too.
Then again, it sure looks like this super-zoom just might be a winner.
As you said though, let's wait and see what the (future) reviews will offer.
Cheers!

Wish the 150-450mm was a * lens too.
Its only because of the aperture that it isn't - it has many buttons (pro features), DC, AW.. but its not a constant aperture, as that would bump the price through the roof

They will probably make sure it does.
