WOW! 2015 is a great year for Ricoh!

Rumors of a Ricoh GR camera replacement | Photo Rumors

I already mentioned that in addition to the new full frame lenses and DSLR camera, Ricoh/Pentax will have more announcements for the CP+ show. One of the rumored possibility is a Ricoh GR replacement:

The new camera may have a completely different name
Upgraded sensor, but still APS-C
Redesigned lens with better focusing
Touch screen
Wi-Fi
New grip design

Wouldn't be surprising- RIcoh has consistently been releasing new GR models every other year.

Please.... add viewfinder to it and sharp-from-the-start f/1.8 lens!

Can I have one, please?

But... Touch screen? Well, as long as it's possible to disable - and the camera still will be operable in a meaningful way.

Here we go with touchscreens. They will use the GR as a test bed and will then integrate it to the new FF and other models...

Or maybe it's something that was already present on the prototype at CES...

A Mono. GR, well perhaps not, would be nice. Sounds interesting though.

I love my current GR. But if they add an integrated EVF, phase-detection autofocus and a fast, 35-40mm lens, I'm there. But can they do it while keeping the body size down? The fact that the GR slips into my pocket as easily as a Sony RX100 is one of its best features.

A new updated gr could potentially rock. If it has better AF, touchscreen focus and WiFi. Could be really interesting.

One feature so needed to compete in this space: well speced video!! At least 1080p with no moire or aliasing issues at a high enough bit rate to allow some post processing. 10 bit 422 would be amazing!

Redesigned lens may be a 35mm lens.
So it is a GR-like camera, not exactly GR. They will keep the GR for more obscure and Japanese market like it always was, but this may the camera for the rest of the world who thinks in the 35mm angle of view.
It could as well be branded as Pentax.

View-finder is not needed for GR. Better not, just keep it like before, neat and sleek design.

They'll stick to 28mm, since every previous GR (except one) has. I expect minor updates, like the OP suggested, though they may add up to a substantially improved camera. Probably won't be upgrading from my GR V, though.
