4K is for interval movie shooting, similar to the one in K3 and 645z.

Mic input mentioned in the nice description on the front page of this camera, they seem to mention audio levels monitoring.
Ah, there it is! Looked for it in the specs, didn't find it. Thanks!

Isn't that the K-S2 body-only and K-50 "loaded and ready" weight (with battery and sd card)? I show K-S2 "loaded and ready" as 678g.

Oops, I stand corrected, sir! So just a tad heavier than a K-50 then...

I wonder if this A-HDR is a single picture where they expose for highlights and pull out the details from the shadows, or a 3-picture HDR like my wife's K-r.

AA holder is not listed as an optional accessory, which is where it ought to be if its useable by the new camera.

You are comparing without a battery to with a battery.
Without a battery the K-50 is 590 grams. Same Li-109 battery, so the K-S2 is actually 1 ounce heavier. All body dimensions are smaller by about a quarter of an inch on the K-S2, so it can categorized as the smallest WR DSLR, but not the lightest.

Perhaps one marketer's body armour is another marketer's polycarbonate shell over a metal frame. Polycarbonate can play the part of very strong armour.

only for interval video shooting, nothing exciting...

But we do not know yet whether the HDMI port allow video signal output to external recorders, if it does, then it is exciting, if it does and can output 4K signal like sony A7s can, then it is even more exciting.

But I fear it might not be the case....

It is still exciting camera though
