We have a thread with video suggestions here, maybe you can ask them if they are interested, then we can create a summary you can give them. I did post a list with stills and video suggestions in the FF suggestions thread at the Ricoh US forum, I hope they read what's there...

Missing mirror lock up function.

However there is the "diffraction correction". That's how to do?
Is visible this correction for K3 ?

Mirror lockup will probably work like it normally does for all Pentax DSLR's - set self-timer on (2 sec/12 sec), mirror locks up.

And that's enough.
never used the "special lever" it with 645D 645NII nor 67II : you just need a good tripod.

Isn't a dedicated mirror lock up shooting mode also somewhat "superdesed" by using live view ? But i'm pretty ignorant about the use for a dedicated MLU function as it is present on the K-3...i guess it's there for a reason which i don't know about

btw even my old k200d locks the mirror up when using the timer, so i guess the same will be for the K-S2

On k7 I use MLU combined with the wired remote control. But as K-S2 does not have the ability to connect a wired remote control, probably the dedicated MLU function does not make sense. I decided for this year to buy a new DSLR camera and do not know what to buy K-3 or K-S2.

The K-S2 will no doubt support remote control, just like the K-S1 does. But if the K-S2 has no remote plug, it will certainly support wireless remote control. You can see the IR sensor on the front of the camera.

If you are changing cameras from the K-7, the K-3 is probably a more direct upgrade, IMHO. It has everything that the K-7 has, and more. But the K-S2 has some handy features the K-3 lacks, like a more compact body, WiFi and flippy screen. Depends on your priorities.

I had the idea of buying a KS2 but finally opted for the K3 after seriously comparing the specs I also got the Flucard so I can do remote control. Got the K3 for $20. more than the KS2 and it's a much better camera. I love it.

The horror! On the back of the K-S2 it's written RICOH!
("PENTAX K-S2 [...]Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd.", on a label under the back LCD - which has a huge PENTAX inscription)

By the way, it has MLU on the 2-seconds timer. Interestingly, the lens can't be manually focused unless the camera is switched on; then it works like a QSF lens.
Long press on WiFi will start/stop WiFi.

In my area, in Europe, the price difference is about 275usd (equivalent) not 20 .
Also, the K-S2 missing "Composition Adjustment".
However I would choose K-S2 because it seems more portable for hiking and cycling.

I ordered the gray, so I'm in the same boat. Regret!
