Anything exciting planned for Q line up?

---------- Post added 02-06-15 at 07:45 AM ----------

Actually I want to know why they won't allow user option to enable mechanical SR during Video for K-3. Previously they said because they couldn't get rid of the noise from SR but why not make it an user option.

I would like to ask this:

Where did the the newly announced ff camera targeted at? A D610 600D type, entry level ff or D810 5DIII type camera high end ff? Or something in between like the D750? Where does it compete ?

Will the new FF incorporate an intervalometer? What size sensor will there be? Will the current PDCU software support the new FF?
Will Pentax/Ricoh retain the DNG format for raw files? Will the rear screen be articulated? Will the camera feature a dedicated AF button on the rear? How quiet can/will the shutter be? Will the menu interface change? What are the min/max shutter speeds? Have the engineers been getting enough sleep and good food?

+1, I think many would like to hear an answer to this.

Technologies are as much about systems as they are about gadgets. Will Pentax be making any changes at the "user service" level (repairs, support) in order to increase their professional footprint, along with the release of the new camera(s)?

Will Pentax/Ricoh renew/release "past" camera accessories?
Examples are...extension tubes, split image focusing screens, macro bellows, right angle viewer, 3-D lens/viewer, etc.

Do you envisage a pro-level aps-c body ala k3 existing alongside the FF or will aps-c drop down a rung?

Exactly. And will Ricoh continue to refresh and occasionally expand its APS-C lens line-up where it makes sense, e.g. implementing DC motors and WR, reconsidering ultra-wideangle and fisheye options?

In the past Ricoh have indicated that video in their SLR systems was not a priority. Has the company had any change in thought in this regard. Especially with the new interest in 4k video?

Excellent point. In the distant past Pentax had a superior range of accessories, today not even all that they officially still make are stocked by their Official Online Webstore.

at the moment pentax is maintaining a severely segmented lens portfolio with several lineups
The DA Range, zooms and primes
The FA Range, zooms and primes
The DFA Range, zooms and primes
The Da limited line, zooms and primes
The Fa limited line, primes
(please correct if i did a mistake here)

Is Pentax considering to consolidate the current portfolio, and if so how? (eg what lenses are likely to be discontinued and where is pentax going to release new products)

Do you plan on having a new focusing system that will having tracking? The k3 AF.C could use some updates imho, Is it possible these would come in an update or does an entire system need to be upgraded.

1) Looking to the past 12-18 months, for a moment, could you tell us from Ricoh's perspective about the market response to products such as the K-3 and 645z? Reviews for both products have been extremely positive, but have they met the projections and expectations of Ricoh, and is the Pentax brand in a healthy state?

2) Traditionally Pentax products have targeted the Japanese market first, with other markets almost a secondary consideration. Will this approach continue, or are there plans to expand the appeal of Pentax to a more broad user-base?

Many of us are still shy away from any lenses with AF motors, since if they fail, the body will not revert to screw drive AF. Can the bodies be equipped to support this?
