Looks like the line up suddenly looks amazing, sans the fast primes and tilt shifts, but now I am confident Ricoh will give it too when the time is right.

It really feels good to see these plans coming to fruition in these interesting time.

Thank you Ricoh.

I don't see any new D FA lenses on roadmap, so this is not very good news.

the updated roadmap only indicates what are the stuff Ricoh has brought to the table, a confirmation to the things that are already there but in development over the last few years. We'll see more in the list probably once the two lenses and the FF are available in stores.

and look at all those colors for classification.... there's red, grey, gold, orange, green and purple!

Actually there is in my eyes largediameter D FA wide Zoom on that map. Which seems new one.

There are 3 D FA zooms in that roadmap, a D FA Large diameter wide zoom, a D FA Large diameter standard zoom and a D FA Standard zoom. Those are definitely new (if you can't see them, try refreshing/clearing the browser cache etc).
And there's the DA Wide zoom as well.

With 3 f/2.8 zooms covering from 14-17 to 200mm, and a 2x-10x-ish zoom I think they will have a nice zoom lens line-up. Next, they can concentrate on adding primes.

The 28-45 is f4.5 only. Not really a replacement for the 25mm f2.8. I can only imagine they're freeing up space on the production lines for a bunch of new D FA lenses.

This lens has been really screwed around by Pentax. Originally released in 2011, a new version was released only a year later with a more restrictive built-in hood that vignettes on film 645. Why they couldn't have a removable hood (or selection of two hoods to suit film or digital) is beyond me.

As someone who only aspires to shoot with a 645Z, for me this was the most interesting lens in the whole catalog.
Yes and no. The DFA25 (645 full frame) has been limited to japanese market. The DA25 (officially cropped frame but really the same lens with less stringent alignment checks which supposedly is acceptable for cropped but not for FF AND adapted hood for cropped format).

That was the official communication I remember.

Yes, that's interesting! They need that now that Canon might be offering a little competition for Nikon's fabulous 14-24. And the DA Wide zoom is still there, too!

Now that we know a FF is coming I expect the K mount wide angle to be a FF 14-XXmm lens that is in the same class as the Canikon FF ultra-wide zooms.
I have said it before, that with the new FF and the 70-200, they are targeting pro's..So its natural that they also come with a fast widezoom and normalzoom, so they can compete with the "holy trinity" from Nikon etc.

As said many times, Ricoh are targeting the pro's., so a 24-70 and 15-30 or similar is crucial, together with the new 70-200

It's right way - need to produce FF zooms first. There are FF fixed lenses.

Exactly. Ricoh knows what they are doing. Good times ahead
