If 'large diameter' equates to f/2.8, then the omission of this in the 'DA wide zoom' makes me wonder how the new lens will differ from the existing DA 12-24 f/4. Will it just be a moderate update with HD, DC and WR (which, of course, if nice enough)?
DA wide zoom looks to be a 12-28 and not just a simple refresh.

They haven't had the FA 50/1.4 and FA 35/2 on a Map in a long time, but they keep supplying Adorama and BH with lenses.
I always wondered why they were left off. Good to see they are back on the map.

I would not be all that surprised if these two lenses got an update befor the limiteds. HD and aerobright coatings, dc motors.

They went and updated the Roadmap since yesterday! They added the FA 50 and 35 to it! With these and the FA LTD trio, DFA 50 and 100 Macro, they have Primes covered on the interim. They will need some tele lenses and some extra-wides down the stretch.
I saw FA50/1.4 and FA35/2 there before....

Well, they are not on the 2012 or 2013 map. They are not on the 2009 either. Not sure about other years, those are the ones I was able to find right off the bat.

Red looks like it's for DA lenses.
Maybe you saw what I saw last night on that roadmap when this thread was fresh -- just a single unidentified lens the DA wide zoom.

Now there are three DFA in red accompanying it at the bottom. Thus doesn't appear that red means DA lenses. I think it either means HD coating or WR. None of the new lenses have been non-WR or non-HD coating.

I suspect the 24-70 will be fast, fixed aperture while the 28-105ish lens will be a slower, dynamic aperture lens good for walkarounds.

Neat that they added a DFA wide zoom too! That is a nice little lens setup. Knowing the lens prices diminish over time much slower than the bodies, might look at a lens or two before the body.

Not that I shoot 645, but what happened to the recently released 25mm lens?
It was reported that the supplier for one of the elements went under, and they haven't been able to find a new supplier.

The three red lenses on the bottom are clearly labelled D FA,but the two we know about, the 70-200 and 150-450 aren't there. There is a wide aperture wide angle, that we don't know about.... a 14-24 DFA would be the second "Trinity lens" is my guess, if they go the Nikon route and go 14-24mm, 24-70mm and 70-200mm. So one's done, the WA is on the horizon, as is the 24-70, although, logic says, it will come as soon as possible. And it is on the roadmap, along with what looks like a 24-105. Very cool.

Essentially a complete line up of DFA pro quality glass. Now if I just had the 10k to afford them all.

At Finland FA35/2 has been available for years...quite expensive thou. but it should be great lens still. And there has been FA 50/1.4 too. Sold as new.

---------- Post added 02-10-15 at 16:58 ----------

Now that 35/2 should be even more interesting to buy.

The 2 we know about are listed above...

The three new D FA look to be a 24-70/2.8 (licensed from Tamron?), 28-105 variable aperture, and 15-30/2.8.

They have been available in the U.S.A. as well. They were just left off the previous Roadmap, the 2012 Map. That led to many people speculating they were discontinued. Of course some were saying that about the FA LTD trio as well.

I found old roadmaps - 2008 and 2011. No FA50/1.4 and FA35/2. But the focal length name is Current DA and DFA lenses and the name of roadmap is LENS DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP (2008). As for 2011 - K-mount Lens Line Up.

Maybe I'm wrong...But it seems to me I saw FA50/1.4 last year's roadmap. How to check it?
