Lens Maps Updated

Only a wide zoom lens is supposed to come out in the K-mount. See the links below.

It is red though.. does this mean WR? A 12-28ish WR lens would be very nice with the updated coatings.

And there is always the ace in the hole in the fine print 'road map may vary in response to market situation' -- I'd say launching a FF body would cause a response to their market situation hehe

Guess they're keeping quiet about the inevitable FF lenses!

Red looks like it's for DA lenses.

Not that I shoot 645, but what happened to the recently released 25mm lens?

Somebody mentioned on PF recently that it was discontinued!

2015 or later ...but at some point
Not that I am going to buy any of the new bodies / lenses any time soon, but I am glad to see that Ricoh, Pentax or whatever you want to call it is moving

Maybe they figure that with the 28-45mm zoom no one will buy the expensive 25mm? But it is sad to see it go.

They haven't had the FA 50/1.4 and FA 35/2 on a Map in a long time, but they keep supplying Adorama and BH with lenses.

Now that we know a FF is coming I expect the K mount wide angle to be a FF 14-XXmm lens that is in the same class as the Canikon FF ultra-wide zooms.

Not bad so far, and more to come:

K: 35 lenses (inc the TC)
645: 16
Q: 8

The 28-45 is f4.5 only. Not really a replacement for the 25mm f2.8. I can only imagine they're freeing up space on the production lines for a bunch of new D FA lenses.

This lens has been really screwed around by Pentax. Originally released in 2011, a new version was released only a year later with a more restrictive built-in hood that vignettes on film 645. Why they couldn't have a removable hood (or selection of two hoods to suit film or digital) is beyond me.

As someone who only aspires to shoot with a 645Z, for me this was the most interesting lens in the whole catalog.

I don't see a D FA * wide zoom on there, so the K road map isn't truthful.

I just had a thought - Pentax will have to re-release a D-FA TC - I'll take the Vegas odds of that happening within the next five years.

the D-FA25mm is a f/4 lens - if it was f/2.8 it would have been absolutely massive.
