To clarify, if the FF sensor is the larger version of the k-3 sensor or the k-5 sensor, the crop mode ISO performance would match the k-3 or k-5 respectively.
I'm not an expert on the technical aspects of photography, but I doubt this. If by 'larger version of the K3 sensor' you mean a 24 MPx sensor on a larger area, then even in crop mode this should translate into better performance. You would get a lower resolution in crop mode because only an APS-C sized part of the FF sensor would be utilised, but on this area the pixel density would be lower, every pixel would be larger and thus able to gather more light. This should translate into better IQ.

I'm not sure why so many people seem to think Pentax will rebadge Tamron lenses. Just because we have a rebadged super zoom is no reason to expect high end lenses to be rebadges.

And that would not exactly be the message Ricoh wants to pass on IMO.

If Pentax weren't a brand known for their optical expertise...

Pentax had rebadged Tamron lenses several times before . I don't see any problem.

No, a larger version of the k-3 sensor as in literally - a bigger chip from the same family as the k-3 sensor. For example, the D800's full frame sensor is the full frame version of the D7000/k-5 sensor. In crop mode, it is practically the same as the D7000/k-5.

AFAIK, they never did it for their high-end lenses; just consumer ones which they couldn't be bothered to design themselves.
And yes, it would be a big problem, if "Pentax' best" would be competition's cheap 3rd-party.

Tamron 15-30/2.8 is really high end lens. There are joint lenses with Tokina.

I don't care if Ricoh would produce original wide zoom pro lens or buy optical design from Tamron. If it will be good lens, I don't care...

Indeed it is but you won't impress Pros by rebadging an existing lens with price 30% higher and expect them to respect you.

Neah... the new Canon 11-24mm, that's a really high end lens

Thibs said it better than I did; and indeed, in my post it should have been "cheaper", not "cheap".
But price is not the only issue. Not having the freedom to design the optics to your requirements (then, some 3rd-party lenses are very good). Not having the freedom to design your own barrels, AF motors, switches and buttons (assuming rebadge and not just sharing the optical designs). And having people constantly point out that one could get the "same" lens, just cheaper, in C/N/x mount.

In this case (36 MPx) you're right, no advantage in crop mode. If they released it with a 24 MPx FF sensor though (which is questionable considering the competition with 36 MPx Nikons and 50 MPx Canons) there would be an advantage over the K3 in crop mode.

No one knows and I guess few people care. Pentax just went all out, throwing out a very promising K50 successor with a totally redesigned DC WR kit and announcing a FF which they intend to supply with five new zooms. They only have limited R&D resources and I guess they just have slightly different priorities right now.
