Cool ad, and while the look of the fonts are debatable, it seems the title of the video itself is something -

"THE ULTIMATE FAMILY CAMERA, Pentax K-S2"

the K-S1 is supposed to be what again? The K-S2 is overkill for a "family" camera, but I daresay the image they're trying to project with it being WR (and almost an all-around camera) is great. Hope to see more videos and actual ads in the future!
Overkill are a rule for same people. I think a K-S2 isnīt really a overkill for a family vs a Ferrari outside a bar for someone perhaps without a driving license.

We need to give them some time to see how they differentiate the various cameras in their line now. Right now, it isn't even clear (at least to me) how many cameras they will keep, let alone which markets they will pitch them to.They may even follow the method used by Purdue Univ when I was a student - they looked where students actually walked and used that to guide where they poured concrete for walks.

K-S2 certainly isn't overkill for a family camera. What's overkill is when dad goes full macho and buys a 1DX with 2.8 lenses for family snapshots.

Young consultant at work brought in his new camera to show me.

"Nice camera," sez I.

"Well," sez he, "We decided to spend the money to get the best, because after all it's for the memories of the kids, and everything."

videos on the camera screen looks like very fluid slow motion

can k-s2 make 120fps or even faster (looking at water drops) or those are made with some other camera and put in this teaser?

K S2 or not to Ks2, that is my question

No-where is the body construction mentioned, and I seriously don't want a Canon Rebel like plastic light-weight. I'm hoping to buy a ks2,but will not keep anything like a plastic REBEL. Anyone know of BODY contruct of the Ks2??https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.png

It's fine, it feels quite solid (not on the K-3's level, but still). And its internal metallic frame and the glass pentaprism make sure it's not exactly light-weight either
The kit lens - 18-50 - is flimsy, though.
