Looking at these photos of the mock up beside the K3 here is it correct to conclude it is not much bigger than the K3 apart from the bump of the prism housing?

Does....mean we will....fork out....for a big, high DSLR like the Nikon D810 and Canon 5DS?
If the mock-up at CP+ is anything to go by it *will not* be big. It is only marginally bigger then the K-5 and considerably smaller then the D750. It is only the size of the pentaprism, and (necessarily) the width of the top of the mirror box (which tapers in markedly on the K-3), which makes it appear to "dwarf" the FA31

Compare these two photos, make some measurements, and come back if you disagree. I didn't get the angle of the comparison shot exactly right but they are taken with lenses with essentially the same angle of view to avoid parallax errors.

The image from CP+ was taken by Forum member Vizke with a compact camera - 35mm equivalent 73mm according to the EXIF. Mine was taken with a K-S1 and my A50/1.2

I would like to actually see them side by side. But it doesn't look that much bigger to me.

Nice Sandy! you posted as I was typing.

Good Lord guys! I know you really want a full frame Pentax but you are in serious denial here. That has to be the ugliest camera I have ever seen!

It is close in width, a bit heavier around the grip, has some additional girth due to the back screen, and is higher due to the larger prism.

"That's why I like it, It's a beast!" I wonder how I'd spend looking at it before I actually used it.

It is quite taller too but very reasonable IMO.

+1.
Other photographers will run away in fear, allowing Pentaxians to get the best locations and shots.

I like its purposeful design. To me, it looks like a real camera. I love that pentaprism housing!

I am quite sure that Ricoh will tweak the design a bit before production likely taking out some of the akwardness that is there now, although generally I think it looks great and love the 67 nod. But I am super excited, about the size and also about the prospect of a massive film camera sized OVF...man oh man let it be true! Take my money!

I know, everything looks cheap 'n' trashy compared to a Leica M3.
