K-FA? K-F1? K-FZ? They could work.
They should certainly stay away from K-FU or K-FC

Instead of K-series use L-series.

Too complicated

It seems to me it could be named in new way - K-F1, for example.

There is K-S line. K-3 could be changed by something K-...1 (K-P, K-N, K-L...)
FF line could be K-F...

It's logical IMO

But I think that the name of camera should be simple and easy to remember and keep in mind.

K-3, K-5, K10D are ideal names...

K-S1 is so strange...K-F1 too....

As for me personally, I'd prefer simple name - one letter and one figure.

X-1 implies experimental rocket plane........
D-1 says Nikon to me, do not know why...

How about: K-2436

I like LX-D but that is historical a good camera, from better days. But it is Pentax history not Ricoh, so maybe we will get KR-D That would cause lots of excitement on the internet

K2-D.

An upgraded model a year or so later: K2-DMD. Oh wait... might have to be K2-Dz or K2-D1p.

Anything is possible. But I would love to see letter L resurrected.

I want there to be 2 camera lines. 1 would be high-end and professional, the other would be more basic and feature classic design and controls. There's room for 2 naming schemes under this model.
