From WIKI: "The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) [1] is an international, non-profit association advocating the interests of the photography and imaging magazine publishing industry. The association represents 28 titles, published in nine European countries and six non-European countries." - Most of the industry uses TIPA as a standard on whats hot or not.
