Lay low. This is what happened to the last PentaxForums mole...except it was his "shutter button" finger.

Makes sense, as it seems like current stores are blowing out the K3 (I just bought one from Adorama yesterday with the grip and 50/1.8 for a hair under $820). I was planning on leaving Pentax, because I can't really afford their lenses anymore, but it's hard to beat the price on that kit.

Coming from a K20D and a K01 (that I never liked the AF/handling on), it will feel like a evolution and a half, but I could see Pentax adding things to keep up with the Jones', like an articulated screen, wifi/nfc/gps, and an improved sensor from Sony with the MKII.
Yeah, Pentax lenses aren't exactly cheap anymore. However, look for DA* 16-50mm and DA* 50-135 (and other lenses that have both SDM and screwdrive) with SDM problems but otherwise in good condition: their selling price is low but optical quality is great. Just convert them to screw drive which is noisier but faster than SDM and of course reliable. SDM problems were a blessing in disguise for those of us who are on a budget :-)

I saved so much by doing just that and now I can afford a new K3 II :-)

Good lenses are rarely cheap, I'm afraid that the brand doesn't matter there, the only difference will be the larger used market for recent lenses.

Seems the new generation of Milbeaut chip is also there according to Socionext (seems that it has been split off from Fujitsu)

Milbeaut BU | Socionext Inc.

A new generation 8 chip in combination with the new sony 24mp sensor would be a very strong combination (19 fps full resolution read out must mean 4k read out at 30fps is possible).

This seems to be a relevant part:

Milbeaut surveillance camera processor M-8M is the latest generation of Milbeaut direction for security surveillance applications chip products, the use of Cortex A5 MP processor, by embedding different image processing algorithms, including noise reduction, SPR, ELA, as well as H. 264 encoder to achieve ultra-high definition 4K @ 30P single-stream output or HD FHD Rd multi-stream output. The product has a good quality image processing capabilities, and built-in DSP and a series of intelligent algorithms (such as haze removal technology, etc.) to support TCP / IP, RTP / UDP / IP, especially for network cameras and video cameras and other sports applications.

Although they are talking about surveillance camera's.

Imagine a world, where the near silent shutter of cameras in sporting and music events world wide going over at 12fps is not heard by anyone other than the shooter with an endless buffer. In this world there is only one ruler...Pentax K3iisMX2c!!!!!

I've had too much red bull this morning.

Future lineup as i have said before. Only thing that might change this, is what the marked demands.
So it's more or less this (using current models):

645Z
(Pentax FF camera)
K-3
K-S2
K-S1?
GR
Q7 (or Q-S1?)

Who are the marked and why do their demands count?

...so amazing things afoot for Tuesday or so...can't wait!

I hope it includes updated Limited FA's with weatherproofing and internal >>>>reliable<<<< motors...and a nice 8-10mm prime. And I hope the new camera is metal and comes in silver to match (finally).

Cheers,
Cameron

We've dsicussed the ratio of Pentax 'Japan' sales to 'Rest of World' sales elsewhere on the Forum. Who does logic suggest are 'the market'?
