That is actually just a small image that was magnified, not a compressed one.
You are 100% correct, if one looks closely you can see the pixilated jaggies from blowing the small pic up.

I haven't said anything about the name being only K-3II.
So basically you're not confirming that this picture shows the real thing?

There's still a button where the K3 pop up one is. Different markings, might hint at a prototype version. After 24hr of rumors I stopped staring at that blurry pic...

I'd love if they move the movie mode switch to around the record-start button (like Canon kind of, but mirror the current switch style), and replace it with a joy stick to change focus points. I like the current K-3 AF button location. I don't expect it on the II but I can dream.

I say new sensor and maybe updated pipeline, maybe new processer (or dual PRIME IIIs). Perhaps a boost to the SR, and almost certainly some improvement to the AF.

Maybe it has a knight rider led in that strip and maybe a new KITT lens.

K-5II / IIs was a different situation. Ricoh pulled back release of the K-3 to work on AF and wait for the new processor, but they had to release a stop-gap. This one probably is a REAL x-II. It might include significant technology we'll see in the FF as well as something that will differentiate Pentax from the others - that will become a signature feature.

My wager is, whatever it has will be the best, newest available components from their suppliers, not two-year-old tech that is less expensive.

No arguing there, so much for D7200 being labeled the King of the APS-C. There's a new King coming to town....

I'd like the Mode dial to work in movie mode.

no significant body shape change for this K3II, I suspect, as those who bought the grip for K3 won't be happy about having to buy another grip.

Sounds like this is turning into a camera version of Game of Thrones
