I doubt it

Most likely will have articulated screen and wifi....which will not show in the angle of the picture that was added. To me, it looks like a K-3 with the "II" added, just as was done with the K-5 upgrade.

Whenever I see a blocky image like this, I assume Photoshop...probably poorly done and then compressed at 10% JPEG quality to hide it.

That is actually just a small image that was magnified, not a compressed one.

I which case there will be no visible difference on the outside. Any change to the rear LCD would require a different casting.

According to 2 people who are in contact with Ricoh it will be released in June/July and announced in the next 3-4 weeks. Hopefully I'm not misstating their comments.

If that proves to be "true", wouldn't one expect "internal changes" only, without touching the overall body itself, much like Pentax did with the K5 > K5II > K5IIs ?

I spy what may be a taller, more angular prism that mimics the FF a bit.

This means that the prices on the current K3 will drop even more.

Yep, that hump comes really comes to a peak. The flash button seems to have some sort of lettering above it. The PENTAX lettering looks less bold, too. It also seems like it's darker than the K-3, but that could just be the picture.

Edit: The more I look at the peak, the more it seems to grow on me...

Undoubtedly, like the K-5II, the K-3II will only be around a short while before an all-new APSC flagship is unleashed. That model will have the articulated screen and a new sensor, but the K-3II will only have onboard WiFi and perhaps a new processor. That's my prediction. Wagers?

WiFi, yes.

New processor, no.

Updated SR and AF, yes.

Updated 24 mp sensor, yes.

Articulated screen, no.

That's my wager.

My guess is that it has a new sensor and image processor with a lot more power and memory. Improved AF system and hopefully a bigger OVF.

If Ricoh is going to implement SR based stacking like the Olympus high resolution mode, then they are going to need a lot more processing power the handle 4 24MP RAW files stacked in-camera. Ideally the camera will save a DNG file of the stacked images that can be processes externally, but that takes a lot of horse power and fast memory.
