I guess I'll be labeled a whiner too, but I was looking for a 7DII killer. But with 27 AF points, missing ISO 80 again, no flash, still 8.3fps, etc, its hardly a 7DII competitor.

I have seen their interviews, and the only thing they ever say is that they are looking into looking into whatever feature the interviewer brings up.
it's called declining to divulge information in a polite manner...

I was expecting more than this. Maybe Ricoh save the best for the fullframe.
Maybe this is all there is.

I'd personally miss the on camera flash. I use it as a Master for off camera Pttl control. Unless of course they offer some kind of built in radio trigger and a trigger accessory that connects to the IR sensor on the flash unit.

It is an interesting target market then, some cameras for the rugged outdoor shooter and others for Japanese teen girls. Makes perfect sense.
I don't know whether I would qualify as an outdoor photographer but i"m quite rugged and definitely no teen girl .

Snapsort, which is used by many to organize a comparison of two cameras, shows the $900 K-3 to already surpass the $1700 7Dii.
Score - Canon EOS 7D Mark II vs Pentax K-3
Canon advocates whine that the DXO ratings are biased, but DXO routinely shows Canon sensors to have real problems

Hmm..didnt think about that i should maybe let them go crazy until then
That should translate as "stay crazy" rather than "go crazy" and I applaud your effort regardless of its effect.

I am not sure why people are getting so bent out of shape. First of all, it is a K3 II. That means that they are keeping the same basic body. Doing a complete refit of the body and adding a tilt screen would be more than what Pentax could handle in a year where they have so much else going on.

It is way too soon to know how much improvement there is (a) on auto focus and (b) on the sensor. If the sensor is like the D7200, having the same dynamic range improvement throughout the iso range, then that is quite valuable, by itself. The K5 II looked the same as the K5, but the auto focus was significantly more refined.

I don't know that this will drive K3 owners to get a new camera, but it certainly could get K5 and K5 II owners who felt that the K3 sensor was a step backward to upgrade.

That would be classified as a "charged" statement, what's your agenda my good sir? Disinformation or do you proselytize a brand of "contrarian" canon.

Someone (maybe Sandy Hancock?) predicted 10 or so days ago that the speculations would reach a ridiculous and impossible level just before official release of the actual spec.s, which would be seen as a let-down, resulting in predictions of Doom.

Yep.

I don't have the K-3 so it's all good to me... I kind of wish they kept the pop-up flash. Once again they fell for the social-media BS.

I suppose hot-off-the-wafer spanking new sensor with class leading, Dynamic Range and High ISO performance, best-in class low light AF, FPS, processing speeds, Pixel-shift tech, Wifi, GPS, video modes and formats will have to make up for the lack of pop-up flash........unless you don't need all that when taking pictures of slumbering cats, that being the case.......yeah lack of pop-up flash....real shame.

I'm disappointed, I was expecting a liquid cooled 50Mpixels @ 25 shots per seconds, because I really need this , otherwise I can take photos.
