I like the new features. I am tempted to get the K-3 II so the K-3 doesn't get lonely. I could really use that built-in GPS.

I can already feel the K-3 price drops about to come...

Sadly I was hoping for built in flu-card. The wifi option on the Fuji X100t is great to have, a pain to use, but great to have. I shoot concerts so being able to post a pic to the bands manager or social media between sets would be HUGE for me. Wireless tethering should be on every camera these days IMO.
Flip LCD would be nice, but not ness. Better low light AF and high ISO handling would be a high point for me too.

The lack of flash is odd. But not ness, if you have a mount for external.

Sensor shift tech is crazy cool idea. I shoot fast moving objects in low light, so doubt this is useful to me unless it can handle movement, but other posts here seem to think its not meant for that.

Either way, new cams = lower cost on other epic cams. Win for us.

I also echo what one said, "What I woudln't give to be a fly on the wall in that marketing meeting." WTF are they thinking. seems like they are in their own little world.

I agree with earlier comments, if the new K3ii has the IQ of the K5iis and better/faster/stronger performance of the K3, I'm in. I don't want to sacrifice IQ and DR for more megapixles . . .

How on Earth does GPS need a special button?
The gps unit has a calibration where you hold a button and swing the thing around in various directions.

Probably to calibrate the compas, not the GPS.

Pentax K-3 II specs

All these specs as rumors let us know are fine for a new camera. However, just one detail Id like to be enhanced such AF accuracy at low light as night. Maybe SAFOX XI+ or any better feature for this technical weakness against Nikon.

Well... Pentax / Ricoh is doing an honest business here. Slight improvement (with same sensor) and not call it a new model but call it what it is, a K3II. I don't see why people complain about it.... Canon will call it another T8i for these improvements. LOL

but fujifilm probably just issue a firmware update to their existing model to get some of these features. LOL.

Pentax. Not just for nature freaks and teen Japanese girls any more.
This must be targeting everyone as most people around here have a hoodie, unless they are from Saskatchewan where it is called a bunny hug.

Honestly the T6i looks better and I'd never buy canon

Can they compete with a $800 launch price for a comparable camera

Haha I'm going to tell the thug on the corner he looks cute in his bunny hug.

If you don't see any more posts from me you'll know why.

I am with you - Better AF, including more narrow/accurate spot focus and superior tracking with AF.C is the buy vs bye criteria for me. I will wait for the Forum's In Depth Review. In Rock-Paper-Scissors game of camera specs - my sense is better focus beats better IQ. Upgrading from the K5 to the K3 was compelling upon announcement of the K3. The AF improvement for the K5 to K3 upgrade was significant. The announcement is still pending but so far it is a wait and see for me.

Erm what? Isn't the k-3 as good in low light AF as the D800/D810? I don't think Pentax loses out in low-light AF.

Don't feel bad , I bought the K3 because FF never showed up .
I like the Flash gone , but still stuck with a Flu Flu card.
Astro feature great , GPS meh.
Pixel shift....Hmmmm , but improved AF tracking meh.
Im waiting for image and res to be the final verdict for me to upgrade
