Probably because they are stunned by the stupidity. I don't care for the light quality but there have been many times I would not have gotten anything with out the pop up. Also if you put a small piece of tissue over it the light softened up a lot. Sure I prefer my regular flash but I mostly use that off camera and don't alway carry it around.

May be this photo from 1972 give you an idea what I mean

Nice picture! I was skinny like that in 1972 and could easily get down on the ground just like that then.. I can still get down but getting back up is a little harder! ;-)

In 1972 my parents hadn't met yet. My mom was 15 and my dad was 17.

It mentioned control with smartphone or tablet! I think that is much better than tilt display, especially when taking photo in low light condition.
Apparently you are either VERY short or VERY young or both

No need for more Mpix, Wim: the Pentax current way of doing super resolution does NOT add a simple pixel. But it allows full color informations and so, better resolution without a single added pixel.
Doh... I knew that... :-D

Still might allow for better cropping? And still requires a static subject. Curious about this anyway.

I like it! I like it a lot!
It's great that they replaced the built-in flash with a built-in GPS.
As a working photographer who travels and runs a lot, the built-in flash on my K-7 is useless (for me) and I always accidentally open it, and with that I might accidentally break it. And whenever I go to my assignments and other travel shoots, I always use my iPhone's GPS to tag a place. This new built-in GPS is great! Highly recommended!

Assuming the pictures we have seen so far are accurate, the hump on the K-3ii is at least as large as the hump on the K-3; it will be interesting to find out what has replaced the flash in the hump. Since removing the flash didn't make the hump any smaller, maybe they had to remove the flash because they didn't want to make the camera any bigger.

The number of focus points might not have changed, but the AF, especially the AF-C is very much improved.
