Mads Mikkelsen is a fine actor, I'd gladly let him redesign and spec the K3 Mark III, let it be garbage I don't care..

The K-7 held out a long time... K-7, K-5 and K-5 II/IIs are IIRC identical, but the K-3 certainly needed new moldings or whatever they use to create the shape of the body. Looking at the K-3 II you can see how they tried hard to change as little as possible (creating a slightly awkward look), so that's why a flippy screen was out of the race. I think that will come with the K-3 II successor, when it gains a new number and a new body.
Moldings are just the plastic shell. It's what is underneath - chassis and body - that matter.

I hope Pentax won't use the FF as basis for the top of the line APS-C cameras, unless it really is a wonder in miniaturization. Certain design ideas and parts like a flippy screen, perhaps. The overall UI, button arrangement... but the K-3 successor should be as small as it can be, and not be a bit bigger just because they can then recycle parts.
Much as I like the current cameras, I much prefer the form and shape of my K10D to the tiny, cramped K-3.

Yes I've watched his career grow, and its great DK can produce actors at this level, the film industry here is really growing ,and with original ideas.
Ahh but Phase One is made here..so a K3II designed by them would be awesome(ly) $$$$

No... The K-3 feels just great, the K-7/K-5 bodies were slightly worse, but I got used to that shape after a while. Right now, when I take my old K10D it just doesn't feel right - the grip is much too shallow and the ISO button is in completely wrong place.

Oh, there it is. That was surprising. But did I miss anything? Kenspo teased that there'd be "one more thing", that the spec sheet is incomplete. I didn't see anything in Adam's announcement that wasn't known already.

I do like the shape of the current cameras a lot, few small things I'd change, but overall it's nice.

Haha, ok, that's a big deal.

The price... mh. It's good, though we'll have to see how that translates to real world prices. It might just be a more realistic starting price, rather than announcing some fantasy price and then dropping to half that in one month.

I'm a bit saddened that it seems it's just the SR sensors that are better, and not the "motors".

Nice camera, but not groundbreaking enough, and... they needed to drop the mirror to only fit in GPS? What monster of a GPS module is in there?

The Astrotracer module, bigger than a mere GPS.
