Even if they use the same sensor, it has been remade in a very better way. Beside better AF-C, i was told that the ISO handling would be noticeable better.
Will have to make some calls tomorrow Originally posted by D1N0 Maybe you could get them to name the part name IMX271 or IMX193
Sony Global - Products The 271 doesn't seem necessary if you are not going to use the speed.
Originally posted by kenspo I will call first thing tomorrow. Not sure if I'm happy about this.

asahi-man had suggested some sensor and AF hardware upgrades would be there in the v II, so I am somewhat disappointed not to see any mention of either.
Originally posted by kenspo We both have been told the same thing. Will call them first thing in the morning to get the facts straight.

Will have answers later.

I will still make the call tomorrow, to get an answer on which sensor is in the Mark II i Got told specific that AF-C AND handling ISO would be noticeably better now. So..hmm
So,
kenspo, how went your phone calls (and your cup of coffee
)? Did you learn something about the sensor in K-3 II?
I would definitely like to know whether K-3 II has the same Sony sensor as K-3 or it's an updated version, like for instance the one used by Nikon.
