If this allow the GRIV and the GR(V) to go lower in price, then "Hail the new GR II" !!

I can't believe I am the only one supporting a viewfinder. I can understand they might leave it out or sell it as an external accessory but kind of a deal breaker in my eyes.

What if its fullframe :O ?

You're not the only one who wants a viewfinder. In some sense, that is another "dead horse" that has been worked over, if not "beaten", multiple times in discussions at the Mirrorless and Q sub-forums. I think it would be very very good if Pentax would come up with some kind of EVF solution that could be applied to all appropriate products; personally, I got my Q-7 only after I was able to come up with a hood that would turn the LCD into a viewfinder. Others see a viewfinder as being absolutely unnecessary.

It's a compact. Yes, it's a compact targeted at enthusiasts, but it's a compact. A compact camera doesn't need a viewfinder, and compacts tend not to get viewfinders (except bridge cameras, but they're not exactly compacts). Maybe Ricoh could come up with some kind of shoe-mounted EVF accessory, but I don't think it's going to happen.

the only thing they have to change is make the sensor-cleaning possible.
Others fine enough by me.

I'll pass on GRV since its sensor dirt problem. Still not solved. and it's soooo bad for a compact size camera..

I have the current GR so no rush to replace. Based on how I use it mostly for street photography, weather resistance and a tilting LCD would make the camera better for me. I don't care about a viewfinder, more resolution, or wifi tethering in the GR (but they're essential in a more versatile DSLR).

One of the key lures for the GR line seems to be a natural affinity for lovely Monochrome results. An upgraded sensor should still be "tuned" for monochrome tonal range imo.

SR would be nice to have. So would an evf. And a 2.0 aperture!

For me - tilting screen and WR would bring enough novelty.
