I'd still love to see an AF-on-sensor technology for stacking focus, bracketing focus or some such. Whatever it may be, I have faith in the R&D at Ricoh; they really have been good to us! They have been giving out real tech goodies more often that what could be deemed 'silly stuff'.

That's not a bad idea (actually, it is a huge can of worms with a camera as large and heavy as a DSLR - I used to work for a company that manufactured such solutions), but that stuff its already out there, so I wouldn't include it in the ground breaking system I mentioned.

Oh, they should probably include a video-specific chassis in this system, which would still be compatible with all is the sensors.

Must be 645Z tethering........it's the single most important feature for a lot of photographers. (just my 2 cents)

Why shouldn't it be the announcement of one or two new 645 LS lenses with focal central shutter.
That fits to the pros. And 645 lenses are overdue this year.

Here's my speculation, not having clicked on the link ...

1. Ricoh bought/licensed Phase One for their s/w and h/w tech.
2. All camera bodies are mirrorless with EVFs. EVF has blink detection. No more shutter buttons to press. Just blink your eyes.
3. Pixel shifting tech w/o needing a tripod.
4. Announcement of 13 new FF, Q, and 645 lenses - each.
5. Energy harvesting tech in every camera - thermal, solar, and mechanical. Your batteries will never run dead.

1) Ricoh is dropping Precision Camera like it's hot and going back to CRIS for all services
2) Future Pentax/Ricoh DSLR will have multi AF adjustment for zoom lens (Wide, Medium and Long end of a zoom) - wouldn't that be nice.

For me it would be a faster write speed for the 645z. The 645z is such a lovely camera and I would drop all my Canon equipment if I could shoot as fast without having to wait for the camera to catch up.

No one has said this yet - i guess i'm the only one to know. They are actually announcing that Pentax's movie mode is now going to be better than the canon cinema camera line, or than the Red cameras, with lowlight better than the A7s, at only 12k resolution.
