Culmination of five years Ricoh research into sub-atomic particle image enhancement, at their highly restricted test lab at an old salt mine on the southwest slope of Mt. Niitaka. Very, very trick stuff, developing lenses and shutter mechanisms for this new approach to imaging. Looks like they've made the final breakthroughs and productized it. We can expect very different DSLRs, with 10-500mm equiv teles and the whole package coming in at about 4 ounces weight...

Will it be operated by thought waves, or will we need thin finger extensions to manipulate the tiny control dials, shutter release, etc.?

Implantable... oh, I never thought of that!!

I'm expecting you to tell us about anything important that comes out from this.
Like I said, the news will be on our homepage shortly after the presentation ends

So next GR, FF, and maybe a professional service? These are the things we know are/will be coming. FF and the known/rumored lenses would make sense.

I hope for a 645 II Z, and that the ordinary Z have a huge price drop.

Probably much ado about nothing. But one thing that might change the way photographers work is to provide a 3G/4G data connection on the camera to store all the pictures in the cloud and not be dependent on a memory card or a local wifi connection.
