I don't know how a tire store can avoid metric tire sizes. They are everywhere and more common than imperial tire sizes. LT315/70/R17, for example is a metric tire size. And tire manufactures that I see list more sizes in that specification than, say, 35x12.5R17LT
R17 = Radial 17 inches ...

Yeah, weird they mix units up there too.

LT315/70/R17: 315mm tread width, 0.7 x 315mm sidewall height and [ ( (0.7 x 315) x 2 ) / 25.4 ] + 17 = tire diameter in inches ... go figure.

Yeah ... and what's weird (still to me) here in France in that TV/laptop screen sizes are still given in inches ... or rather translated as "thumbs" ... "des pouces" !!!

My K-5 has a three thumb screen ... which is good for me since I'm all thumbs.

Nobody even knows if there will be just one FF. Some have speculated two.

One very soon.
Probably a second more affordable a couple months later.
They need to support the new lenses and most here will not buy a beast but will buy an affordable FF (and then buy new FF lense)

I have just returned from testing the Sony A7R II. I also tested the Nikon D810 about a year ago.

I must say, if either of these sensors shows up in the full-frame Pentax, you/we are in for a real treat. A "Canon-users-will-cry-and-despair" kind of treat. Both sensors are phenomenal.

I'd be even more ecstatic if, since Pentax seems to be interested in astrophotography too, they offered an "A" version like the D810A that had it's sensor tweaked for incredible night photography. That would be a dream come true.

But really, all they need to do is flip a coin on those two FF sensors, and worry about nailing good autofocus. Then they have a winner. The Nikon D810 isn't "magic" at autofocus, and neither is the Sony A7R mkII, but they're both pretty close.

I know there will be one FF K-mount DSLR. How? I was told that by Ricoh. We were told that by Ricoh.
I don't listen to baseless speculations.

The eventuality of a 2nd full-frame body could be argued here, even though some are clearly implying that a duo could be announced first.

IMO, no we won't see a 2nd full-frame body soon, given Pentax' history of "slow and steady wins the race" and NOT "diversity for the sake of increased total sales"...

Most of you dont know much about the future, or how Ricoh is thinking. Some will be disappointed, some will be filled with joy. Cant please'ed all! Ricoh has finally turned the train called Pentax in the right direction. Rome wasn't build in day. But the future is extremely bright!

I'm hoping we only see one model and it will have everything Ricoh has to offer. I don't want to see them follow Nikon and Canon and offer crippled models in order to protect higher priced models. A version of the 42MP sensor makes the most sense as it gives them a decent crop mode for APS-C lenses and I think that is very important starting out.

Two models expensive/cheaper at launch (or nearby) has precedents in recent FF camera history:
Nikon D3 (expensive, 12MP), then 12 months later D700 (cheaper, 12MP); Nikon D800 (36MP, expensive), then 6 months later D600 (24MP, much cheaper); Sony A7r (36MP, expensive), and launched the same day Sony A7 (24MP, cheaper). It can happen, and it has some marketing advantages. Plus the hard work that goes into building the expensive body makes making the cheaper body much easier.
