Great news indeed !!!
And i don't see why Sony's last sensor would not be in the feast !
It is possible indeed. Sony is doing business by selling sensor. No reason they don't want to sell it to Ricoh. And Ricoh is more than willing to make the show for their imaging business.

Actually, according to some sources Sony is now delaying open sales of their most recent large format sensors to push the A7 series.

Sony sees a sales advantage in preserving their newest sensors for their cameras and letting any Sony Semi sell to competitors at a later date.

You'll never know if the Pentax Full Frame will have the same sensor as the one used in the D800. In fact, it's rather a matter of ego , you wouldn't want to have an "old" sensor in your Pentax Full Frame camera.

I can hide the camera, no problem. But the bank account balance . . . that's a different story.

Ditto ... my wife couldn't really tell a digital Pentax SLR from any of my film Pentax SLRs.

But the "hole" in the bank account would be noticed ...

NB - she does notice all those "other" film brand cameras lurking in my storage area ...
