And let's not forget, the 24-70 is a rebadged Tamron 15-30, while the 15-30 is a rebadged Tokina 24-70...

I bet customised rather than rebadged... the common think - and easy to check, Pal - being the optical formula.

Really? Well, I would not bother if Tamron would rebadge Pentax lenses to Tamron lenses sold at a cheaper price, it happened that my Tamron lenses are as good as non rebranded Pentax lenses.

A closer look at those focal lengths would have answered that...

Ok I see now, a Tamron lense rebranded Pentax, it's like Ricoh products rebranded Pentax then :-) ( am I excluded from the forums now? )

I am sure there would be some arm wrestling in the home front but I am guessing I would save and get it.

I don't have the cash in hand but I'm willing to save up. Wonder what that would cost now?

I have had remarkable success with FA*300 F2.8 and 2x Tammy PZ TC and the HD 1.4TC for less length...Hence no 560DA. APSc buys me a smidge of time...

Once again.. Who cares if the new K lenses are Tamron, Sigma, Pentax, Tokina, etc.. as long as are good lenses that deliveres great IQ and are well build IS OK. I still dont get why people worry if the new K lenses are branded or rebranded.
