I still think it will be 32 or less MP.. and still quite possibly this 20 MP sensor.

OK, so now we have two silly sensor rumours for the Pentax FF - the 42MP Sony stacked BSI one, and the alleged 20MP Nikon D5 one.

The sensors in the D3, D700, D4, D4s, & Df were designed by Nikon and manufactured by Renesas. The sensor coming in the D5 is probably also a Nikon design which is manufactured by Renesas. I seriously doubt we see a Nikon designed sensor in a Ricoh body.

I hope we see a version of the 42MP BSI sensor. Regardless, it is going to be great sensor.

IMHO it will be a full-on professional camera that many dedicated enthusiasts and some wealthy amateurs will also buy.

FF is made for ANY human.

Strange conclusion...very strange. The professional is the distinctive feature of user, not the GEAR. It was, it is and it will be.

I have been using cameras for 35 years, but I'm amateur. Ben Kanarek used K-x for video and other APS-C cameras for HQ photos. But he is professional.

Very strange or not, this first FF and the new lenses coming, are aimed at pros and the pro-marked. But that doesn't mean that amateurs and dedicated enthusiasts can't buy it. Pentax wants in to the pro-marked. And one of my missions, is to show other pros that Pentax is a good choice for the future. One of the reasons they signed me in the first place.

Nope. You can start instead a thread called "I get jealous when people knows more than I do, and I would insult them".

- the FF being in works for more than 3 years, check. Because:
a. that's about how long it would take to finish a new high-end camera
b. we first heard about it in December 2012
c. Ricoh said so in an interview to DPReview

- November being the date - I don't know, but it's plausible

- Next year's primes - again, it's plausible (after filling 15-200 with f/2.8 zooms and up to 450mm with slower ones). We should have some information early next year (new roadmap at CP+) or early summer.

- This year being "the time of the zoom" is public knowledge.

In other words, nothing outrageous enough to be called "shit".

I probably should not try to speak for D1N0 but I do not think he meant any disrespect to Asahiman. In many American youth vernaculars "shit" just means "stuff" without any necessary negative connotation. Of course, sometimes it does mean "dumb stuff" but how could anyone characterize Asahiman's contributions that way?

I never thought the word could be used without any negative connotation. Slang or not, I still cannot see how it could possibly not have any negative connotation. Yet it is. Amazing.
