All right, so "maybe" I posted something which generated those comments; the question is - I'm definitely not a lady, am I a diplomat by chance?

42 Mpix is so 2015... In the future you will need 120 Mpix:

Canon Global : Canon developing next-generation imaging devices to expand the possibilities of visual expression

Featuring a resolution of approximately 120 effective megapixels, the SLR camera now being developed will incorporate a Canon-developed high-pixel-density CMOS sensor within the current EOS-series platform, which will realize compatibility with the Company’s diverse interchangeable EF lens lineup.3 The high-resolution images that the camera will be capable of producing will recreate the three-dimensional texture, feel and presence of subjects, making them appear as if they are really before one’s eyes. The camera will facilitate a level of resolution that is more than sufficient for enlarged poster-sized printout while also enabling images to be cropped and trimmed without sacrificing image resolution and clarity.

Out of the 96 lenses that make up the EF lens lineup, 60 models will be compatible with the SLR camera under development.

Soon, Soon... I hope.

Possibly only a month away, feels like a long time to wait unfortunately I wont be getting it anyway unless I win the lottery. Anyway I think pentax will have to release a new normal lens to go with the FF camera. I am thinking they will either release the da* 55 1.4 as a DFA* 55 1.4 or the FA 43 1.9 limited as the DFA 43 1.9 Limited (DC WR). Any bets?

It would make little sense to make K-mount versions of these because VC has no value on a SR camera, and because it would compete against the much cheaper DA35/2,4 and DA50/1,8 and most likely D-FA variants.
The press release mentions that they intend on releasing Sony A versions (i.e. no SR/VR/IS) of these lenses a few months down the road.
That would make it trivial to release a similar K version too.

120mp is so 2015.. now 250mp!
Canon’s 250 Megapixel sensor is small enough to fit in a DSLR | BGR

According to the current lens roadmap, the normal zoom for FF should be a 28-105mm. And the roadmap also shows a large diameter D FA zoom from 24-70, which will probably be a Pentax-branded version of the Tamron 24-70 2.8.

Did you know that Asahi Kogaku Goshi Kaisha was founded more than 3 decades before Kabushiki Gaisha Tamron?

On your last sentence... This "rebadging " is based on what facts? I am curious, since it would be a Major strategic change (that lens in that class) being a rebadge. If it is a DFA*, Tamron materials quality would likely be seen as substandard. If Tamron is the Sub-contractor, makes sense. A DFA* lens made like the Tamron? I think not...IMHO

In the Japanese world of how these firms compete, Canon is preemptively putting this out (2-3 years before ready) to put Nikon on notice and to clearly tell Ricoh they will not take a 42MP K (whatever) and successive Higher res SLRs (APSc and FFs) laying dowm. The war for share (Per Ricoh CEO note of last year) is on, and unfolding before us... Canon is more woried about PTX as a fast-follower than Nikon... I saw this dozens of times when I worked in Japan, for a highly competitive conglomerate. Canon is saying by this that Pentax is "old news" technology. Very impressive chess move...

According to extremely reliable sources the 24-70 is 100% Pentax, not a re-badge in any manner at all. So is the 24-105.
