Beklager, feil kommune. Thanks! I didn't know that. The waiting is killing me.

Yes, someone (asahi man?) said it would be an improved D810 sensor with higher DR. D810 already have an impressive low ISO 64 (and emulated 32). I hope its improved by BSI technique and native ISO down to 50 (I don't care about emulation).

There also was some talk about a surprise in the view finder. A big VF will impress but not surprise. The prism house is somewhat unusually shaped. Maybe we get the first hybrid prism finder, with an option to turn on a digital image with information overlay or only digital image in live view mode. Just pure speculations here, but I think its exciting to dig anything out of the hints we get.

I guess you don't understand the consequences - if they indeed used an old IMX094, there is no chance not only for 4K, but for more than 5 frames per second in continuous mode. It means as well, that waiting for the new Milbeaut was just a waste of time - an old Milbeaut 7 aka PRIME III would do the job.
All those things don't look good, especially marketing-wise, if they want to sell K-1 as a full featured pro model, like Kenneth and others suggested many times. It doesn't mean it will be a bad camera, but it means it doesn't look that good in 2016 - more like another "me-too" product.
I would love to see Pentax competing with serious features, not just the price and some nice add-ons.

Not every imx094 is the same. in the D810 it was improved and went from 4 to 5 fps and 7fps in dx. We'll just have to wait for the final specs. Maybe they doubled the read out lanes like they did in the imx271

It is basically the same. Little tweaks here and there.

Yes. Fps should tell everything.

They could. They could made it copper instead of aluminium as well. I don't believe they made it BSI though.

And it has been around a long time:

According to this site: Let the cat out of the bag - meaning and origin. the phrase is common in English, Dutch and German.

I know that the expression is also commonly used (and understand!) in most english speaking countries. In my answer to Mistral, which is in France where this expression isn't used and probably would raised eyebrows if I use it, by "outside Quebec" I was meaning "french speaking countries outside Canada". BTW, we also commonly used the standard french expressions mentionned by Mistral... I guess we have the best of both worlds on this one! We have even more choices for swearwords for which we commonly used those coming from France (if we're not really angry), US (we're somewhat angry), and our own local ones (we're really, really angry. And children are not allowed to use them). Quite useful to quickly evaluate the level of anger of the person you're talking to!

Your early 2016 APS-C Pentax is called the K-1 in crop mode.

^ Aaaaaaaarrrrgh!

But in all seriousness, I'm hoping that the next generation APS-C flagship will have better performance & IQ than the Nikon D7200. That seems to be the prosumer DSLR to beat at the moment.

An updated version of the K-50 like a K-80 or sometihng would be nice with the wireless flash capability intact & maybe even 14bit RAW files.

I should be tarred & feathered for even thinking of this, but something from Pentax that is similar to the Nikon D500 would be awesome too. Yeah. I know that it's like asking for world peace or something. I'll go ahead & start pouring tar on myself now.

I'm happy that the k-1 is out. This just shows that Pentax is alive and is seriously keeping the k-mount. However, a new and better APS-C is what I really want. I would also like to see further development of APS-C lenses. Though FF lenses can be used in APS-C, they seem to be big and heavy. Anyway, I can wait for that. I'll just keep using what I have which at present I'm really happy.

AF seems to be the main difference, for the rest the K3 is on top.

AF plus, noise free on low light and high ISO settings. I am asking for noise free pictures at 6400. I may be dreaming, but who knows what technology will provide in the future.

New technology cant break the laws of physics. There will be no such thing as noise free, no matter what ISO, Its just a question of how much noise will be acceptable for you.
