I just saw why I didn't signt up for this site. They just want free images and no responsability.

The last part is simply asserting that you the uploader of the photo are saying that you own the photo and haven't stolen it from someone one else (or isn't otherwise "illegal" to publish).

They have a shiny new welcome to Ricoh Imaging page with links for k-3ii and GRii and the Picture Gallery. The Gallery link takes you to Godaddy

I use my artist page on PPG as a showcase for my photographic "talent." The link is on my business card. I hope they get it up and running again soon. It was quite useful for the individuals contributing to it.

Indeed, the direct links are working. Oddly enough, considering the lack of support of the main site. http://50.56.120.90/artists/edemskiy one more for example: http://50.56.120.90/artists/allenbirnbach images obtained by using different lenses too you can see. I hope all is not lost! http://50.56.120.90/photos/gallery/query?camera=254&lens=4096

The links that work will be relatively addressed, as in
Code:
<a href="artists/edemskiy">visible link here</a>
That's because you are bypassing the DNS and going directly to the IP address of the host server.

The links that will not work will be absolutely addressed as in
Code:
<a href="http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/edemskiy">visible link here</a>
. Those links would have to go to DNS to resolve the IP address of "pentaxphotogallery.com" which GoDaddy has pointed to their holding page.

The full story on the problem is here: Re: PPG -- This is their problem & I let them know yesterday: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review.

The current whois indicates that the name is being held by the registrar (GoDaddy) in a sort of "stasis".

Domain Name: PENTAXPHOTOGALLERY.COM
Registrar: GODADDY.COM, LLC
Sponsoring Registrar IANA ID: 146
Whois Server: whois.godaddy.com
Referral URL: http://registrar.godaddy.com
Name Server: NS71.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
Name Server: NS72.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
Status: clientDeleteProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientDeleteProhibited
Status: clientRenewProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientRenewProhibited
Status: clientTransferProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited
Status: clientUpdateProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientUpdateProhibited
Updated Date: 20-jul-2015
Creation Date: 19-jul-2006
Expiration Date: 19-jul-2016

This can happen for any number of reasons, but the most common is non-payment or some sort of fraud/legal dispute. The name ownership has reverted to the registrar and the .com registry has been instructed to not allow any changes to its status there. After a waiting period, it may well come up for auction! There is a fair amount of residual traffic to this domain so it should fetch a nice price!

With any luck, GoDaddy will accept a check and release the name back to Ricoh.

There was an explanation on the site that must not be named that it might not be easy for Ricoh to change the registration. It was registered to the old PRAC email addresses that don't exist anymore. So there isn't even a way to reset the passwords at GoDaddy. Ricoh will have to set up a mail server with the old addresses to get the email confirmation from GoDaddy. Kind of embarrassing that Ricoh's IT people wouldn't follow best practices...
