Ricoh exhibiting at 2015 NYC PhotoPlus

This is good news. Ricoh hasn't had a real presence at the show since purchasing Pentax.

The show floor is open Oct 22 - Oct 24 and might coincide nicely with the FF release. Their booth size looks reasonable and has aisle space on all 4 sides https://n2b.goexposoftware.com/events/pp2015/goExpo/floorPlan/viewFloorPlan.php?ei=30&zb=1119

I can probably attend any of the 3 days. Maybe we'll arrange a PF meetup as the show date gets closer.

Great for them to be back at the show!

That is a big deal for the North American wedding and portrait market. Glad to see Ricoh actually making an effort.

Especially given the FF is rumored to be a pro body and lenses targeted at Wedding segment. Another data point of confirmation.

Possibly. But the FF will likely be announced in Japan before it is shown at a trade show in New York, so the launch needs to happen before PhotoPlus. So that means FF launch happening in early October or late September, which I think may be too optimistic. At PhotoPlus they are more likely to be merely pitching the existing lineup, particularly the 645Z.

They have been marketing the 645z to the wedding and portrait crowd. I shot many a wedding with a Contax 645. IT would be awesome if Ricoh had a functioning FF body and glass on hand for the show. They need that kind of exposure.

There's some unreserved booth still, Adam. Pentax Forums should have a booth.

Ricoh USA probably doesn't know whether the FF will be ready and I doubt they are attending purely for that. Their renewed attendance at the show might be a renewed attempt at USA marketing, part of a multiyear effort to let USA customers know that Pentax/Ricoh cameras have some features missing from better known brands. If the FF is ready we'll see it, if not they still have the 645Z, K-3ii, GRii, Q, etc.

While in Times Square the other day, I noticed Ricoh with a large lit sign, so they are definitely making a NYC presence.
