But testing is done for months so they ARE holding back for whatever reason (including crippling 645Z score or the opposite: protecting it, or they are simply annoyed by the numbers they did not expect).

In any case, they are sitting on the numbers.

I just find it hard to believe that they would be afraid to offend mighty Ricoh by sharing numbers that show the D810 performs similarly to the 645Z. Surely those sorts of results would please Nikon users and Sony users and there are lots more of those out there than 645Z photographers.

the Phase One IQ180 Digital Back (80 mp) scores 91
the 645D scores the same as the k5IIs: 82
the Hasselblad H3DII 50 (50mp) scores 79

DXO states: Medium-format camera ranking and DxOMark Sensor Overall Score

Professional portrait and landscape photographers often use medium-format cameras because of their superb performance under controlled lighting conditions. However, as these cameras are definitely not designed for so-called “action photography” scenarios, they generally do not perform well with respect to DxO Labs’ Low-Light ISO metric. Because of this inherent low-light limitation, medium-format cameras do not receive top marks on the DxOMark Sensor Overall Score, even though they may show outstanding performance with respect to Color Depth or Dynamic Range (CCD sensor)

the D810 has a base iso of 64 therefore it will score better at DXO

More than that, DXO Mark does not factor resolution into its score and that is a major reason that folks shoot with medium format.

I actually agree but by keeping silent they can only create and fuel a unneeded controversy.

They might as well state that they were thinking about calculating the score differently for reason A or B.

But they chose silence. So be it.

The DXO 645Z main scores are out (but not the detailed and the sensor review)

Now I will apologize for participating with 645Z of topic talk in the DXO K-3II thread.
