Tests are taking place NOW with 645D and a brunch of lenses RI didn't provide DxO with. Amongst these tests, are intercalibration controls with 3 lenses.
They are planned to finish end of september 2015 (future new dedicated thread to come).
Then, sometime will be needed for cross-controls & chekings, and thereafter lauch of the body's and optical modules plug-in.
My understanding is that DxO Lab intends to put into production the whole 645 system. That is supposed to be effective sometime as from next october.
But of course the DxO Mark sensor results for the two bodies could be made public before end of october.

Hi again,

The test results publication for the Pentax 645Z have been postponed, but they're on there way. From what our schedule now states, the review should be published before the end of October. Our sincerest apologies for the delay.
Looks like you were right. If as I expect the 645Z is just a bit better than the A7rII and if there is no new camera to beat it before the publication it could finally be a good timing for RP (just after FF announcement). But if there is a better scorer in-between, the delay before publication will be viewed with suspicion.

645Z should behave like D800-D810 same kind of sensor but benefit of the effects of the added sensor area. It is almost sure it will work just fine for high iso for a score arround 4700-4800 for this one. A7-R-II or A7s will look not that great in comparison.

Then for color deph and dynamic range that's less obvious. It should be higher than D800 through as the quality of signal will be better with bigger pixels.

Looking on how the formula is computed, I expect arround 100-105 global score.

Okay, let's place our bets! What's the over/under?

I hope there is a better scorer in between. The Pentax FF

And 645Z mark II with a sensor based on the BSI sensor in A7rII, just larger, is coming soon.

If I am right the A7rII used lossy raw files (at least when it was tested). So if the Pentax FF uses the same sensor, with a 50iso option and lossless raw files, it should beat the a7rII. There are too many if in my post so let's wait and see

Edgar_in_Indy, I advise you not to bet too much with Nicholas06

So I guess that explains why you've been running around without a shirt lately!

Nope, that was just because I was saving for the FF... shirts are expensive those days

PetaPixel reported that Sony's next firmware update for the A7rII will include the option for 14bit lossless raw files. Save for price, that would be enough to convince me to buy one.

I just provided DxO with my new 85mm f/1.4 samyang (K mount, of course). A new module should come sooner or later...

Nice. Do you have a SamYang 14mm you can lend them? They would be handy. The 85mm doesn't seem to need much correction, but the 14mm could benefit from some.

Sorry I have the 16mm so I didn't buy the 14mm... Maybe someone else in Paris have it ? If so PM me (or Zygonyx) and I will make the connection with the labs

So new APS-C is the old FF .. will a new Nikon 1 V4 become the old APS-C?

In bright sunlight the Nikon 1 system's 70-300mm lens with an equivalent of traditional (300 x 2.7)mm for 800+ mm looks pretty interesting.

For my use I must say that except for the FF viewfinder, I would find little reason to go Pentax FF over K3ii.
