For my use I must say that except for the FF viewfinder, I would find little reason to go Pentax FF over K3ii.

Umm...correct me if I'm wrong, but won't women be throwing themselves at me if they see me with a Pentax FF camera? What am I missing here?

the new crop sensors out-perform the old full-frame sensors of just five years ago.
This is why so many people are happy with crop sensors and are questioning upgrading to FF.

So new APS-C is the old FF .. will a new Nikon 1 V4 become the old APS-C?

In bright sunlight the Nikon 1 system's 70-300mm lens with an equivalent of traditional (300 x 2.7)mm for 800+ mm looks pretty interesting.

BxF is on to something here..... How much does upgrading equipment add to the quality of your photographs?

For me the draw of being to see through a much improved viewfinder is what makes the FF so attractive. If I can see better, I think the photos will be improved.

Unfortunately, this argument is overrated.

VF-magnifications with digital FF cameras aren't what they used to be at manual focus times.

E.g., the D810 has a 0.7x magnification.
while the K-3II has a 0.625x magnification (in FF terms, 0.95x/1.52).
The D810 VF is just 1.12x times larger.

Nothing compared to the VF of a Pentax MX which was 0.97x at 95% or 1.51x larger than the K-3. Compared to an MX, the viewfinders of a K-3 and D800 are almost the same.

Of course, a huge optical viewfinder could be something Pentax could use to set themselves apart from other FF offers ...

Additionally, I expect they will attempt to keep the body form factor quite small. Even the teaser images show a body not much larger than a K-3. They won't be using an extra large viewfinder. In fact, likely a smaller viewfinder than the competition.

I doubt it.

Once you put auto focus on a camera, you decrease size and brightness of your viewfinder. And I assume the coming Pentax full frame is going to have auto focus.

The prism seems to be more than 5mm higher than K3 and no flash. The mirrorbox of K-3 already is FF-ready, thus this might be really due to the VF. No one expects MX, but still larger than K-3. But we will see when we will see.

Looks like you were right. If as I expect the 645Z is just a bit better than the A7rII and if there is no new camera to beat it before the publication it could finally be a good timing for RP (just after FF announcement). But if there is a better scorer in-between, the delay before publication will be viewed with suspicion.

As you quoted the DxOmark scores for 645Z should be published by the end of October. As of 3. of November i still has not happened. I'm so curious i cant wait.

Personnaly I still wait for the detailed results. The overall score is interesting (and excellent) but is far from beeing the full story. I am waiting for Zygonyx news

Well, after 3 contacts in and around the software editor, it looks like internal DxO discussions - of which content i don't know - are delaying the Z results publication.
This nevertheless "shoulnd't take long", as from now.
