Ricoh Imaging Japan website down?

Maybe the problem is with Japan - have they disconnected the country from the web? :-)

Probably just their internet provider in Japan that has a problem with their routing tables.

The homepage seems to have difficulties loading, but try go directly to the product page:

From France: the page is loading but it's abnormally slow (around a minute to get the full page).

It's working again from Australia. But very slow.

It's interesting to note that they appear to be running their website out of their own Ricoh network and server farm in Japan within AS131893 (Ricoh Net - RICOH Company, Ltd - 133.139.0.0/16).

However AS131893 is very poorly peered in IP4 and IP6: only one direct peer to NTT, which will be a bottle neck.

Someone needs to tell Ricoh HQ about CDN's like Cloudflare or Akamai, or many others. Sony Japan, Nikon Japan and Canon Japan use CDN's.

I've noticed a lot of slowness across the Net - amazon, proboards and many others. Perhaps a major node is down or a cyberattack of some sort is going on.

It's back to normal speed loading here in the US. Clicked and it was up in maybe 3 seconds.

I have been trying to register a new camera purchased 8/27 and cannot access that part of the site. Any one have a clue when the site will be working again?
