This makes sense from a marketing perspective, since Ricoh seems to value market share more than margins with the 645Z (it isn't like this segment adds much to the Ricoh bottom line). Having a FF and a FF "lite" possibly gives Ricoh the best of both worlds. I guess we'll find out in a few months. WTH, if the lite version is aggressively priced I might go for it.

Try the two D-FA lenses.

Plus this would correspond to one of their last declarations : "we will invest boldly the FF market"

Well we can hope, I read something obscure on the digicame forum a while back one poster seemed to allude to the fact that they are doing 2 FF cameras flagship and something else, but who knows?

Now we are waiting for two FF cameras that do not exist yet.... it is gettng worse with announcements and story telling.

I wouldn't be surprised either way, but I would think releasing just one camera (the more expensive one) to start with would be the way to go, with an indication that another full frame camera would follow down the road. Seems like they could damage their flagship sales if they release a cheaper full frame at the same time.
