You are right, but compared to my K3, it seems really amazing

And who knows, maybe only 5-10% less then 645Z. ....... We will see that soon.
Yep, it is still under 645Z (not that far), but I cannot give the actual score.. (sorry)

Just wait until the 645ZII.

Since all these sensors are Sony, no doubt a BSI sensor suitable for 645 is already under development.

Hmmm.... but there is still the whole hubbub about Sony Raw using lossy compression...

So, just think how amazing output from that new 42Mp sensor will be when R/P get done with it, with their standard RAW.

If it's anything like they squeezed out of the 16mp & 24mp sensors, we could be in for a treat!

So a 42 mp hey. That's one heavy photo in Raw. How will this heavy file work on our computers. Looks like we are going to have to update our HD on our computers too. My mac is already slow with Lightroom 5 using the camera raw files off my k5

As far as the date concerns, I am confident that during September the details will be released about what the new K is a d if we are hopeful enough we will get it in time for Xmas (if my wife doesn't kill me first. I told her the price will be roughly 2000 € big she has noooo idea that the 16-50 that cost a bundle in its days is going to the bin in replacement of probably another wide angle zoom in the range of another €1000

Waiting for DxO's global note for A7rII...

Seems Canon has still some work to progress with.

50 MP Canon FF sensor is the best Canon's sensor..Between Canon's sensors. But Sony has better sensors and technologies.

Why not, but 70-200 typically calls for wedding FF rather than APS-C folks.
Don't forget sports. Yeah, sports can use fast telephoto primes but the 70-200 f/2.8 zoom is essential.

If Ricoh were to announce a 24-70mm f/2.8 zoom along with the FF, I could get everything I need for sports (24-70, 70-200, 300). Heck, I'd even take a 24-105 lens...

Frankly speaking , the difference between 36mp and 42mp sensor is small. If the price tag difference is $1000, 36mp please!

MP count isnt the only sensor metric.

One stop of DR above 400 Iso over the already good D810 is an achievement.
There will be also improvement in vignetting characteristics of lenses (because the photoreceptor is closer to the microlens). See dpreview home page...

Sure, it is a useful improvement.

But on the subject of high ISO dynamic range above 400, it's only half a stop of usefulness when you compare the A7RII with a cheap, old camera like the Canon 6D:

So Sony could have done better.

I had idea and dream..To attract new rich users for FF system. It would be very interesting if Ricoh produce DFA50/1.2 DC AW, but not simple "working horse", but masterpiece of optical art and engineering. Boke machine with 12-blades aperture! In natural wooden box with velvet inside. Limited Edition. Silver metal body.
100 pcs. per month with price 1500-2000 USD. The THING which could be left in the world history of photo gear. It could be also the flagship of Pentax FF system.

Exclusive and expensive.

Would you buy one? I'd be afraid to use it, get some dirt on it, scratch it etc.

Also focusing a 50mm f1.2 accurately on FF can be very challenging, using autofocus or manual. Not sure if the borkeh would be worth the focussing challenges.
