Well, I must say I am disappointed. That said, from Ricoh's standpoint, it is better to get the camera right (no bugs, sensor stains, etc and adequate feature set) on release then to hit a specific date the end of this year. Still, I wouldn't think anyone would be pleased about the delay.
Well, somehow surprising, but on the other hand - not too much. Previous release dates were mere rumors and selfinduced on forum posts, still they seemed quite legit and maybe the October date will still bring some information...
However, to play the advocatus apologeticus, history has shown that delays have resulted in stunning products in Pentax land, take the 60-250 or the best example the 645D. At least one could assume that the testing phase seems to be a proper one with this company and they are not afraid to go another round to do it right < the optimistic glass-half-full POV ;-)

yet another postponement. Spring 2016 lasts until june 20th.... How many will jump ship? This Probably due to availability of the right sensor and/or image processor but it sucks.

You are right, this is quite clear, still October the 6th was based on rumours. End 2015 and Spring 2016 may be 2 month apart, but maybe also 6, who knows.

Some kind of an announcement on October the 6th is based on a statement made by asahi man and corresponds to the end date of the embargo on some marketing documents he and others have in their hands.

It is further substantiated by the teasing website launched today.

Asahi man is the sole internet source of the Oct 6th 'announcement'. Which now we know is either a red herring, or the 'announcement of a postponed debut'.
In either case it tastes bitter.

Now I stop counting. Let's start again when they have a definite date.
Just add '2016' to the title.

And what about the new lenses - eg the 70-200 - will they be held back until Feb-May 2016 too?? This delay sucks.
B&H posted Feb, 2016 ship date for the 70~210/2.8 pre-orders a couple weeks ago and we all scoffed.

Oops.

Please tell me it's not true. Way too long to wait
At this point, it is worth it to keep waiting. If we waited through the year of not even knowing if there would be a full frame or not then we definitely can wait a few months for the actual camera. We know that it is coming at least.

Really, I want FF too, but I also want the best camera that it can be. I would rather have a delay until spring if it means a camera release that has no quality control issues.

I just added an FA-J 18-35, just in case. One wouldn't want to get caught with one's pants down would one?

I'm not sure what the rush is, I'm still getting everything I need with my K-3. This is a novelty item, I'll buy at my leisure should I have the money at some point.
