Just testing if Ricoh will do it. Life won't end if it doesn't come. But if it doesn't come, it's worth the laugh.

This thread is so long I sorta forget what it was about. But if I remember correctly Asahi man said something like "October the 6th will be full of frames". The implication being there would be some sort of announcement on that date. Since then however, the FF has been delayed until next year. So if there was going to be some type of announcement on that date maybe that has been canceled? Or maybe they gave Asahi man bad info.

Anyway, AFAIK the only people actually expecting something to happen on that date is a few people monitoring this thread.

On a somewhat different topic October 6th is National Mad Hatter day. NATIONAL MAD HATTER DAY – October 6 | National Day Calendar Might be a coincidence.

On October 6th, 1889 Moulin Rouge opened in Paris and Thomas Edison showed the first motion picture.
Exactly 100 years ago on October 6th apperantly nothing noteworthy happened.

I'm guessing nothing noteworthy will happen this October 6th either.

Actually something did happen:

October 6, 1915 - The invasion of Serbia begins as Austro-German troops attack from the north.

Define 'noteworthy' as I doubt Ricoh launching a FF sensored camera into the already healthy market of FF cameras would be considered noteworthy in the grand scheme of things..

As I have stated before this is what happened. And this is what we may be expecting.

Rumor has it that the delay was due to a change in plan from OVF to EVF. This camera is know as KW or K Wonderful. There will also be a slightly upgraded version which is known as the KWE or K Wonderful Extreme. The KWE is known to have both OVF and EVF. Close your right eye and open your left and use OVF. Close your left eye and open your right eye and use EVF. Warning for those who are over 50 years old, do not shoot with both eyes open! You will get a vertigo! Rumor also has it that these cameras have focusing speed 2x faster than any full frame camera in the entire universe including that of the aliens. Remember if your hear this rumor it started here.

Actually, there was an announcement from Ricoh Imaging early October, only it was on the 1st and not on the 6th:

GR II Premium Kit A special limited-quantity package commemorating the 10th anniversary of the digital-format GR series?RICOH IMAGING
