Could this be considered libel? I know it is definitely rude and quite ugly of a comment.

Consider it as you wish.
The guy has failed again, he was also quoted by other websites (see DPR, Photorumors, blogs) his name was everywhere (it probably makes him very excited) and as a result people are even more disturbed than before because Pentax failed "again".... yet you still look forward for more of his nonsense?
And note that I wrote an ugly comment? If my comment that describes truth of these unfortunate events is ugly, what are Asahiman's loudly distributed lies?
Are you oblivious to what is going on here?
Can't you see the Asahiman is wrecking the Pentax brand all over the internet, making it a butt of a joke, and you are applauding him?!

What is my sincere comment compared to his repeated lies?
Can you explain how you know he was lying? If someone tells me something that isn't true or they are mistaken, and I repeat it, does that make me a liar? I think not.

Asahiman is an irresponsible and unyielding abuser and a spammer equipped with half-information and zero brains.
He can't really think what is an information and what is abuse of it.
His track record of predictions is most horrible and the PF members are still infatuated with his "high connections" and empty-content writeups with escape loop holes.
He has done more damage to Pentax than the cyclone that hit Philippines.

I wish Ricoh to finally issue that damned FF so the Asahiman's stunts may go off stage forever.
Appalling rubbish and rather offensive, I think. He just passes on what he's been told and we can all make of that what we wish. And in fact his track record is better than pretty well anyone else's. People believe rumours at their own risk.

If Pentax are making a mess of getting an FF out the door, that is down to their management, not to any leakers or spokesmen. The story here so far anyway is that public relations are not exactly Pentax's strong suit. I'd imagine they will lose some more of their dwindling band of users as the result of FF slipping like this. A pity, because likely it will be an excellent camera.

No you're being hateful. There is a big difference between describing the truth of a matter and describing how you have processed a given situation with a limited view of the situation. And you quite simply do not know whether asahiman had actual information that ended up being shifted at the last minute or if he is all talk. Quite frankly, you've been more of a detractor than I think 20 asahimans could ever be with your crassness and general negative tone that is often seen on these forums.

Yes, the information he posted came out to be untrue. However, we don't know the situation behind the scenes. He could be in the know.. or it could all be in his head. But attacking the guy (anyone for that matter) multiple times on these forums should not be tolerated. I'm actually surprised you're still here..

Sorry, but that's over the top. You have no reason to think anyone is lying about anything. Lying means intentionally deceiving, not passing on information you were given and trusted that turns out to be wrong. It is obvious to me that something was going to happen and it was canceled. Plans changed, who knows why. How is that lying? Your posts about this are indeed ugly and inappropriate. This is after all the "rumors" section. If you get this incensed when someone says something that turns out to be inaccurate I wonder what you think about weather reports?

Uluru, we get it. Ricoh sucks. Pentax Is Doomed. Everyone who says something that turns out to be untrue did it on purpose, just to deceive you. Go find another forum and another brand of camera that suits you better.

I honetly believe on the info from asashiman, kenspo and other guys (they are not members of this forum i think) about the FF 'cause all four give almost the same info, and the delay of the FF was a shock on them (they tell us about the delay 36hrs before the semi-official announcement with the add about spring 2016)

Before I bought my K-3 every shred of information asahiman posted was pretty much bang on. Where as nothing Uluru has posted sticks in my mind as being useful at all. That doesn't mean I'm going to call him out with crap like

Dude you actually think people don't find your vitriol disturbing? Asahiman and Kenspro told us what they were told, that's all they can do. Uluru on the other hand just makes up stuff. Asahiman and Kenspro did absolutely nothing to provoke this personal attack. Uluru, take this to a counsellor or someone you trust. Something is going on with with you. Talk it through. Maybe someone can help you through what ever it is. This is not normal, or socially acceptable.

Don't shoot the messenger (asahiman). I believe he gave us accurate information, but the company just changed their plans for one reason or another. And hey, kenspo confirmed the date too!

These words are just plain silly. On several occasions I was involved in an R&D program developing software for a new (to us) project. They usually were late. As I carefully explained to a "suit" once, "if we had done this before, we could tell you how long it would take ... but, then, we wouldn't need to do it now". I would much rather have Pentax release a product late than to release something full of bugs, or something that would make the company look bad (nobody wants Pentax to be included in the same lists as VW, for example).

Uluru, you really want to make us believe that your hatefull attacks against people like asahiman and kenspo are only in defense of RICOH? Do you really think people on PF are too stupid to see what your primary motivation is?
It's not the question if people who provide information are right or wrong. Everybody on PF has to judge for himself what to make out of this infos, but this process certainly does not require You! In all your "the truth" discourse one can easily see what your real problem is: that there could be people who know more than You do.
