- it's a Tuesday
- on the eve of Photo Plus
- 6 is a lucky number in Southeast Asia (easyness, prosperity and more).

An embargo date at Tuesday, early October, isn't that unlikely.

AM's title "full of frames" makes me think he actually saw the press material and its titles indeed. He may be close enough to sources too.

However, a 42 day lead time before embargo seems to be rather large. Not impossible, but unusual and why so early?

It could mean some viral marketing is intended too.

Beyond that, I have no opinion how much time there could be between launch and first deliveries.

This will be exciting though I'm not going into FF. I just want to see what this beautiful beast is made of. Let's prepare ourselves to hear good praises down to criticisms.

This is what you wanted for the past 10 years, right? Digital full frames.. nice, big Ricoh logo on the front too.
Yes, that actually really is what I want. For some reason all development has halted in digital photoframes for quite some time now. The technology is stuck in 2007. I am missing a wireless, rechargable, digital, high-res true-colour, ultra-flat, smart photo frame. I'm not even joking, printing really sucks.

Ya, what's with that? The wife and I sometimes sit and watch the computer while we are having beer. I have it set to do a slideshow of all our images that we've rated as 5 star when not in use. It's awesome. I never get tired of it.

Some how I don't think I'd pay the $1K for an Apple display for a photo frame though, it would seem kind of exorbitant.

Two points of analogy :

- full of frames => full of stars, like DFA* => reference to lenses to come / last years' Coldplay tube :
Coldplay - A Sky Full Of Stars (Official video) - YouTube

- in another thread, asahiman states "42 days" => reference to the quite exciting 42 Mpix new sony FF sensor

There are reasons for joice, and good times comming ahead my friends !!!
Well, he's wrong.
"42" is clearly a reference to the new mount, which will be a revolution (no more lens release button... hmmm I do have a distinct déja-vu feeling here...)

...oh and to the answer to the big mistery of life and the universe... 'twas "42", rite? :P
