I wonder what asahiman or kenspo will have to say about this.

And what about the new lenses - eg the 70-200 - will they be held back until Feb-May 2016 too?? This delay sucks.

This delay doesn't suck...
i am not sure why it doesn't suck but I am sure the apologists will have perfectly good rationale why bringing products to the market later is better than earlier.

Wow, Spring next year. Maybe Ricoh got hacked and the news is fake. I am trying to be optimistic. If it's still half a year away it will be competing against the Nikon D820 and Canon 5D mark 4 or whatever new models.

Now I stop counting. Let's start again when they have a definite date.

Well, we may get a full frame...or maybe not. This is all feeling very deja vu like maybe we have been here before.

Sales on all Pentax/Ricoh cameras are down, including the 645Z. Just staying alive as a company may end up taking priority.

Remind me again...how much did Ricoh spend to buy Pentax??

Well, no need for a countdown. Looks like delayed until spring 2016.

re possible delay.....

IT is as it should be As seen by the KII and more recently the K3, Pentax has taken to verifying the functionality of contemplated new features
There have been some issues exposed in the Latest K3 release. One can assume that that same technology was in the next generation
products as well. WE should be pleased. All too much hi-tech stuff gets tossed on the market 'ready of not' and often not.

if you look at the lens list in my signature line, you will note that I have invested a very large pile of $$$ in accumulating FF glass, and I will surely me
an early user of FF, however, all things considered, I'd like one that works......

Rumor has it that the delay was due to a change in plan from OVF to EVF. This camera is know as KW or K Wonderful. There will also be a slightly upgraded version which is known as the KWE or K Wonderful Extreme. The KWE is known to have both OVF and EVF. Close your right eye and open your lest and use OVF. Close your left eye and open your right eye and use EVF. Warning for those who are over 50 years old, do not shoot with both eyes open! You will get a vertigo! Rumor also has it that these cameras have focusing speed 2x faster than any full frame camera in the entire universe including that of the aliens. Remember if your hear this rumor it started here.

Just kidding!!!

I'm sure there is a very good reason for the delay and Pentax is sorting things out so that all you Full Frame lovers will have a worry free camera.

It doesn't suck as long as they tell us on October 6th the camera specs and the price. Then I will have time until spring to decide if I will buy the Pentax full frame or I will leave Pentax and buy Canon/Nikon.

Specs? Maybe. Price? I doubt it. Many things could happen to lower or raise the price in that time, I'd expect a solid price no sooner than a month or two before release.

You can be vague on specs and features, prices are a bit more absolute.

Even specs are good. I can at least estimate a price according to those specs.

Well, I must say I am disappointed. That said, from Ricoh's standpoint, it is better to get the camera right (no bugs, sensor stains, etc and adequate feature set) on release then to hit a specific date the end of this year. Still, I wouldn't think anyone would be pleased about the delay.
