If the historical saying is true, that bodies are the loss-leader to lens sales, then Pentax could merely deliver the 24-70, 70-200, and maybe a 15-30 for the holidays, and make a killing off folks who are content to wait for the full-frame.

Again, a situation in which officially announcing a few specs on Oct 6th is a good idea...

Not sure about that, if the rumor that it is a re-badged Tamron is correct. They did not give the 24-70 a '*' so I suspect the 15-30 will not get one either.

My 2 cents:

I believe that there is a possibility that the greatest significance of the upcoming FF is not that it will generate revenue via sales of the FF body (though revenue from sales of lenses may be significant). Rather, it is quite possibly the best, or only way for pentax to regain lost respect and start a resurgence to former glory.

I think a lot of folks here would like to see that. I am not so sure Ricoh cares about it though. I suspect they are much more interested in selling some cameras, keeping the assembly line running and adding to the bottom line. Maybe I am wrong but I do not think companies worry about respect and glory anymore like they might have 50 years ago.
