What are you talking about?
Even without looking at lenses made by other camera makers, there is simply little truth to this claim.

It heavily depends on what type of lenses, if we consider the entire range, there's no advantage whatsoever. Tele (good ones, I mean primes) aren't any smaller and true wide angle are quite big for APS-C.

In the middle of the range, yes small zoom like 18-55, 55-200 are indeed more compact than usual 28-80 and 75-300 but that's mostly because of the crop, not because not because they are inherently smaller.
